EMU Health, a multi-specialty outpatient medical facility in the Glendale section of Queens, NY, has announced the completion of the first surgery conducted at EMU by a doctor from its new affiliate, the renowned Rothman Orthopaedic Institute. The surgery was conducted by Robert M. Zbeda, M.D., a leading hand & wrist surgeon, who now sees patients at the EMU Health facility in Glendale, Queens.

Dr. Zbeda specializes in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgery. A fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, he treats all conditions of the upper extremity including fractures, tendon/ligamentous injuries, sports-related injuries, peripheral nerve conditions, and arthritis. He explained that “the patient had a tumor growing in her hand for three years. When she came in for a consultation, I immediately sent her for an MRI and planned for surgical removal. Fortunately, the tumor was benign and I expect the patient to make a full recovery.”
